This beautiful copy of Detective Comics 33, published in November 1939, features the 4th appearance of Batman. More importantly, its the first time his origin story appeared in print and features some of the most iconic pages in comic history.

 

It was discovered by the current owner along with several vintage children's toys hidden under attic insulation in 2005. This is the first time this rare book, recently graded CGC Universal 5.0, has come to market.

 

The seller has retained The Restoration Lab to host an exclusive private offering.
